Long description: World of WarCraft Intro to the Guide World of WarCraft, or WOW for short, is an MMORPG, short for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, created in November of 2004 by a company called Blizzard. Any number of people can play from any number of worlds, online anyway, that is. The game evolves as people play it, similar to a reality game on television. And participants enjoy fantasy adventures with mouse and keyboard via PCs, MACs and Linus through Windows API. The Word of WarCraft is a fantasy world of long ago with dungeons and dragons, knights and ladies to rescue and ogres, goblins and much more. All is played out in the fantasy world of Azeroth, with humans, gnomes and dwarves. When a Dark Portal opens, Orcs of Draenor come into the world to destroy gasp!!!!humans, of course, to take over the world of Azeroth. Of course war breaks out and Alliances are formed. Allied with humans are dwarves, gnomes and elves. As war continues, the Alliance (the good guys) counter attacks and enters Draenor to conquer the Orcs (or Horde group) and their world. As battles still continue, a version or battle called, The Burning Crusade came out in January 2007 for the 8 million + fans out there playing online all over the world as players in the game to conquer Azeroth as the Dark Portal opens and re-opens, causing havoc. Two new races show up now! The Draenei arrive from the doomed Outland, traveling to Azeroth in a ship called Exodar. And the other group is called the Blood Elves, purest in their race, trying to regain lost powers due to conquest earlier by Scourge. Whew! All that and so much more to learn about the World of WarCraft.
