Long description: Hoodia x57 is a supplement made from the succulent plant, Hoodia Gordonii which has a catus like appearance and is found in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa. The San Bushman of South Africa have long been known to have been using Hoodia for centuries as away of reducing hunger during long hunting trips accross the desert as well as treating small infections. In 1977, the South African Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, isolated the active ingredient in Hoodia Gordonii and named it p57. Scientific studies have shown that p57 found in Hoodia x57 actually suppresses appetitie and can thus aid in weight loss. There are actually 13 different Hoodia species but it is believed only Hoodia Gordonii contains the active p57 molecule, which is also found in Hoodia x57.
